Welcome to the Center for Indigenous Rights

Defending Sacred Traditions. Demanding Justice. Restoring Sovereignty.

Across the world, Indigenous communities are rising — reclaiming land, reviving culture, and resisting the systems that silence them.

At the Center for Indigenous Rights, we walk alongside these communities, advocating for dignity, justice, and the full recognition of Indigenous peoples in law, policy, and society.

Our mission is clear:
To ensure that every Indigenous person knows their rights, has the tools to defend them, and lives in a world where their identity, beliefs, lands, medicines, and traditions are protected — not persecuted.

We Believe

  • Indigenous Peoples have the right to practice their spirituality and cultural traditions without fear or criminalization.

  • The use of Indigenous herbs, traditional medicines, and healing practices is a sacred and sovereign right that must be honored and protected.

  • Cultural practices, languages, and beliefs must be safeguarded, not demonized or erased.

  • Ancestral lands must be returned, not stolen or exploited.

  • Indigenous trade, herbal knowledge, and sacred economies are vital to community survival and must be recognized in law.

  • National constitutions must reflect Indigenous realities and uphold the global standards set by the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP).

Our Work Begins Where Justice Is Denied

In many countries, Indigenous communities are still punished for practicing the very traditions that sustain them. From the forced disappearance of land to the loss of cultural rites and the restriction of traditional healing, these are not isolated injustices — they are systemic violations.

That’s why we educate, organize, and advocate — to ensure that the rights to land, culture, identity, and traditional medicine are recognized, respected, and protected.
